Title: If I Could Only Thank You for One Thing

Main Idea: The main idea of my memoir is surviving my grandmother’s illness and death.

She had just been dancing at the V.F.W. the Friday before, so certainly it wasn’t a big deal in her mind. She was insistent with every conversation that it was a "nasty virus" that was ailing her.

Memoir: Simple Outline

The next part of the process will pre-writing. You will need to develop a simple outline. After that, you will develop a detailed outline. The format with suggestions are provided below, as well as an example. The examples are from my memoir about the death of my grandmother.

Memoir/Biography Assignment Part 1

You must choose a book from the list provided in this post. You need to get your own book and bring it to class on Friday.

If you have absolutely no way to get a book from the library, a store, a friend, or a family member, then you must notify me in writing or email by Wednesday. I will need a full explanation as to why you could not get a book.

If you want to read a different memoir or biograph, then you must submit a written or email request for approval.
